Leslie Vail, Accolade Author

Leslie Vail has been an accounting professional since 1980. She started in the tax department of Arthur Anderson & Company. The world of microcomputers exploded on the country about that time and she took to programs like VisiCalc and other early software immediately.
In 1993, Leslie discovered computerized accounting systems and not only adopted the accounting aspects but learned how to enhance the systems to make them work better using VBA, macro languages, Dexterity, and report writers. Realizing that there was a significant gap between computer programmers and end users, Leslie quickly became a consultant and has been working with clients ever since helping them implement and learn computerized accounting and the tools that support it.
Leslie became a Great Plains Dynamics consultant with Version 1 in 1993, became a certified trainer for Microsoft Business Solutions in 2000, and has been a Certified Master for Great Plains Applications, as well as, Installation and Configuration since 2002. Today, she continues to grow and expand her collection of certifications.
She regularly trains not only her own clients but also for a number of well-respected dealers throughout America in Dynamics Financials (GL, RM, PM, FA, Bank Rec, Payroll) and Distribution (Inventory, SOP, POP), Human Resources, the Dynamics GP Report Writer, Crystal Reports, FRx Dexterity, Modifier with VBA, Integration Manager and a number of third-party products.
Leslie has developed training materials for on-line presentations including the first Internet-based GP training (known as eCourses for Report Writer), worked on the team that revised the Fixed Assets training manual and class for Microsoft, and has consistently presented training classes before and after Convergence, the Microsoft end-user conference.
